The rocker lifter rod, also known as the valve lift rod, may be a push rod, the part that moves the valve in the bottom-controlled and top-valve (OHV) engine by connecting the bottom camshaft to the top rocker. This type of control was used mainly in older engine designs and is no longer used today.
